There are updates to the Quikscribe Recorder (QSR) and Player (QSP) programs, and also the QS Manager (QSM). Although the ones mentioned here are mainly product enhancements, there are also “behind-the-scenes” program improvements related to performance and reliability.

Quikscribe License Server
The new QS License Server program is now available.
The QS License Server application is installed on the network file server and automatically registers each QS Recorder and QS Player license when those programs are run on client user machines.
QS License Server eliminates the need to manually register each computer for QS Recorder or QS Player.
QS Recorder and QS Player are engaged with a profile setting instead of individual online registration:
Quikscribe Recorder Enhancements:
NEW QSDownloader can skip device setting synchronization with Philips DPM, giving a great improvement in load up time of QSDownloader when DPM is connected.
Once the Philips portable recorder has been set up and tested to download and send files, using this new setting will decrease the transfer time needed when connecting the unit to the computer.
Quikscribe Manager Enhancements:
NEW Legend Colors may be set to personal preferences
Just click on the icon for the color, then select the desired color from the palette. The File Monitor list will update accordingly and display the new color.
