- Click on this link or go to your App Store and search for “Olympus Dictation.”
- Click the “Get” button to download.
- Open “Olympus Dictation.”
- Click the gear icon shown below to go to “Settings.”
- Communication -this is where you set up how you’re going to send the audio files to your secretary (transcriptionist or typist).
- Click “Send” to select how you’re going to send the audio file.
- Select whether you’re going to send it via Email or to a Server. The simplest way to set this up is to select to send it via Email.
- You will be taken back to the “Settings” screen. Click on “Email Options.”
- Enter the email address of your secretary in the box provided for “Recipients.” Please note that you can put in multiple email addresses.
- You can also put in the default “Subject” and “Message Body” in the boxes provided, as shown below:
- Once done, click “Settings” with arrow to go back to the “Settings” main screen.
- Recording – this is where you set up your recording format.
- Workflow – this is where you set up the “Author’s name” and the work type.
- Click on the box provided for “Author” to enter the name of the “Author” or the person who’s doing the dictation.
- Then click on the Worktype List.
- Select the worktype from the list as shown below:
- General -this is where you can customize your Olympus Dictation app.
- Once you’re done, click the “Back” button at the top to go back to the main screen.
